I am still on cloud 9.

My younger son, who has been dating this beautiful young woman for over 7 years, married her on Saturday. It was beautiful and fun and joyful and happy. From start to finish.

The service was sweet and short. But exactly the message wanted by the bride. Their vows were just… beyond description. Heartfelt without being hokey. Very spiritual and deep, while also maintaining some whimsy.

Those of you who share faith, you understand the power of seeing a union built on shared faith.

Our dances were a BLAST. No weepy dances for us. Bride and Groom’s first dance was to "Home"
By Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros. Father-Daughter dance was to Dancing Queen by ABBA. And her Daddy can STEP!! Whole choreographed number.

And Mother-Son was Soak up the Sun by Sheryl Crow. I brought props—beach towel, sunglasses, sunscreen. We hadn’t been able to practice so I literally was talking him through it, lol.

We are so blessed.

Other stuff is going on. I’ll update later. grin

Can’t leave this up long but I had to share how beautiful. This was when he first saw his bride coming up the aisle. I know he was going to be dramatic, lol.

So… I got a new job which is less toxic than my old one but carries its own challenges. I had my first, second and third kidney stones in July. Boy, was that ever fun. duh Had to have surgery.

Big news here is JM decided to go to work for a medical transport company. He has finished all the requirements to take the NR EMT exam. And has been offered a supervisor job so it won’t be as bad on him physically as running the ambos.

This time last year I was running out of hope.
