I just have to say it! I am SO happy that Dragn got good news and we ALL know what a difficult time she's been through. All her struggles, her worries.

Dragn, I am proud to call you a 'soul sister' and so proud of the way you have dealt with everything thus far -- and how I feel you are going to be totally victorious when it's all done. D with young kids has to be really tough, I just cannot imagine coping the way you have, day after day, week after week.

So HERE is to our Soul Sister Dragn! The woman who can fix her own car, change her own flats, herd her own horses and goats and repair leaky faucets! You are setting a great example for your kids -- especially your girls.

As Miley Circus said .."she can buy her own flowers, write her name in the sand...."

Yea Dragn! smile

SO WELL SAID, Jeaniegirl! I only got back here to see what is going on with those I remember a short time ago and have been thinking similar things. I'm glad you put it in writing here. Go Dragn!! And also cheering for your good news! May this be only the beginning.

Omg thank you everyone!!!

Jeaniegirl, forever soul sisters! ♥️

I just saw this. I've been a bit overwhelmed and haven't been online much.

It's so very frustrating not being able to update everyone with what's been happening with the D stuff. I guess I can say that despite a court order I'm not getting any child support from stbxwh. Not yet anyways.

We are mostly all over the sickness. My dad collapsed and my brother called an ambulance a while ago. He was admitted to hospital and confirmed positive for covid so we tested and everyone was negative. Dad is home now and doing so so.

Overall things are ok. Kids and I have been busy cleaning out the crap from the house. Basement was done, living room again rearranged. Bedrooms done.

As for DIY stuff I have some things on the list to get done. Replace the barring on the vehicle, replace the part on the touch lamp so that works again amd replace both light fixtures in the kitchen (one is out and needs to be replaced anyways) lol

He has to pay that court ordered support! Stay on his butt, contact all authorities. His kids should come first before himself and other interests he may have. Call daily! That court order is the good news I referred to. You and the kids deserve that and much more.

You are going to come out victorious!

I wish for you and the kiddos a very happy holiday!

J hope your Dad improves rapidly. Covid has made a nasty come back in so many areas. Lots of cases here again. I have a friend in Southern Ontario with Covid while having to fight Stage 4 cancer. His wife says he is extremely ill. Covid combined with radiation and chemo has to be the ultimate to get through. Enough already!

So glad you and the kiddos are negative.

Yay for a good news update!!! grin

Hope your dad is feeling better and that no one else has gotten sick. Any child support coming in yet? Do you have the option to have it garnished through his wages?

Failure is success if we learn from it.

My dad is better or at least as better as he can be. The cancer has made him a shell of his former self. He insists on doing things that he just can't do (my brother found him trying to bring in wood for the wood fireplace) he refuses to use a walker or cane, falls all the time because he won't use any support to get up. My mom and brother are beside themselves all the time waiting for the next big fall.

So it started with kidney failure, discovered bone cancer while in hospital for the kidneys, got his kidneys working again and cancer treatment started, developed epilepsy and all the meds they put him on for that actually makes him worse. Then covid. He still has the cancer and is on a chemo pill at home keeping it "at bay". He seems to be past covid now which is good.

I was told that the FRO office will send me the package to get registered and then hopefully start receiving child support. I assume it's just all delayed becauze of the holidays.

Stbxwh didn't drop off anything for the kids for Christmas although they said they didn't think he would. Still they were disappointed. They all know he dropped off stuff for their birthdays so why not Christmas.

The court order does include garnishing wages.

The best part was that I was granted sole custody.

And that's why the kids all were upset. I served wh months ago. He never responded. Not having a family lawyer wasn't an excuse since I did all the initial paperwork myself. He could have done the same in response to my application. But he didn't.

He didn't fight for custody or visitation at all!!!

That hurt the kids the most.

Their own father doesn't want them.

There's always been an option for supervised visitation for the kids minus dd whom he cannot have contact with due to the criminal charges. If he had wanted visitation the office of the court that represents children would have been involved to independently assure that it was in the best interests of the kids.

I informed the kids of the possibility of that happening and that they would be interviewed and asked for what they wanted. Again that was months ago and nothing came of it.

Other than that their Christmas was awesome. Our secret Santa did amazing. I was able to get Big D the books he wanted and he's already done reading one.

The girls now have their own rooms. We all worked to get DD's new room cleaned and set up. My brother is getting her a captains bed and bedset for Ukrainian Christmas. Little M's room is next. I have a new bed frame for her and my brother is getting her a wolf bedset.

DS is back to playing his video games but he's less angry now and isn't raging like he used to.

We got games for Christmas and thr twins and played played frustration, battleship and operation all night lol. I sunk all of little M's ships but big D got us in Frustrstion lol.

Thanks for the update. Sounds like a lovely Christmas. Thoughts for your Dad to continue to improve. My sister’s children noticed that their Dad, the ExWH, never put them first on holidays, which just made them appreciate their Mom even more. The same for you Dragn. Now, 25 years later, as adults, they and the grandkids have a very close relationship with their Mom, and rarely see their Dad. Best wishes for better days ahead.

Never bother with things in your rearview mirror. Your best days are on the road in front of you.

I just have to share this. One thing I'm really happy about is my weight loss.

At first I was losing so much it was scary. 20lbs in just over a month. I wasn't able to eat, barely drank any fluids and was a total mess.

Now though I'm doing much better.

What's shocking is that I wasn't able to fit into size 12 jeans and now I need a belt to keep them on!!!

My legs are thinner and my butt is gone. My bras don't fit anymore. But I still have the kangaroo pouch. Guess I need to focus on an ab workout lol.

It feels good even though the method of weight loss wasn't a healthy one. At least I've managed to keep it off even with eating again.

Santa brought me new clothes and I was worried it wouldn't fit but it all does and it's awesome!
