Sad to say that I've been poking around this site for 15 years, but there seems to be less forum activity than there used to be. Wishful thinking would be that fewer people are dealing with infidelity, but we know that's not true. Just out of curiosity, do you have any statistics that show things like average new members, or average number of posts over a certain time frame (monthly, yearly, etc...)? Thanks.
Is it possible that I actually do have all the truth now? (haha - how naive was I when I wrote that?}

I've wondered about this too. I was on the site for a couple of years 2004-2006ish, and it was very busy. Sometimes SI will go several hours with no new posts, or even several days in some forums, which seems so strange to me.
My guess is that there are other sites, like Reddit, that receive more traffic now.

I noticed it, too. I check a couple of other infidelity boards, and at least one of them has been getting progressively less busy. I also read a couple of other forums, and they seem to be less busy than they were.
I have no idea what the replacement is.

I do seem to remember that when the site's format changed, quite a few people left, complaining about it (can't find old threads, not used to the new format, etc...).
But that doesn't explain the fewer numbers of new people, if that is actually happening...
Probably there are just more outlets for this sort of thing? Possibly cheating and promiscuity has become so much more normalized that people react to it differently? Or maybe it is just cyclical.
I don't know...just speculating.

Not sure what to call it, but I guess we're in R.

I’ve noticed that the WS is typically a ghost town most days. Oh you’ll have the random new thread every so often but it seems to me that a person will make a thread or two and then disappear. I know most of the "old timers" on that particular section are long gone. I also would like to think that folks are no longer cheating as much but I’m not that naive.
